Below is a list of countries and dependencies in North America by area. The region includes Canada, Greenland, the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and the United States. Canada is the largest country, Saint Kitts and Nevis is the smallest country overall, while El Salvador is the smallest on the mainland. Greenland is an integral but self-rule territory of Denmark.
