Mario Fiorentini

Italian partisan and mathematician (1918–2022)

Mario Fiorentini (7 November 1918 – 9 August 2022) was an Italian partisan, spy, mathematician, and academic. He was a professor of geometry at the University of Ferrara. He helped an assault mission at Regina Coeli prison and took part in the organization of the attack in via Rasella. He was Italy's most decorated World War II partisan.[1]

Fiorentini died on 9 August 2022 at a hospital in Rome, Italy at the age of 103.[2]
