Marshallese is an official language of the Marshall Islands, with English as their second. It is used as the language to teach in most primary schools.[1]

Marshallese is most closely related to Kiribati,Nauruen,Pohnpeian, Mokilese and Chuukese, which are other Micronesian languages. There are other Micronesian languages closely related to the Marshallese language.[4]
