Martha Rose Reeves (born July 18, 1941) is an American singer. She was also a councilwoman in Detroit, Michigan. She was associated with R&B group Martha and the Vandellas during the 1960s. Together, their hits included Dancing in the Street and Heat Wave.[1] She had some solo songs, also.
Reeves was a Detroit Councilwoman between 2005 and 2009. She was born in Alabama. She was raised in Detroit.
