Mazhar Krasniqi
New Zealand community leader (1931-2019)
Mazhar Shukri Krasniqi (17 October 1931 – 8 August 2019) was a Yugoslav-born New Zealand Muslim community leader. He was born in Pristina, Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He was the first president of the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) from 1979 to 1981. In December 2002, he was awarded the Queen's Service Medal (QSM).

Krasniqi died on 8 August 2019 at the age of 87.[1]
