Melanmai Ponnusamy

Melanmai Ponnusamy (Tamil: மேலாண்மை பொன்னுசாமி, 1951 – 30 October 2017) was a Tamil writer and journalist. He was born in Melanmarainadu, Tamil Nadu, India. He was a Marxist by political orientation and a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M). His first short story was published in 1972 in the literary journal Semmalar.[1][2] He wrote columns for Ananda Vikatan and Kalki.

Ponnusamy died of a heart attack in Tamil Nadu on 30 October 2017 at the age of 66.[3]
