Mighty Joe Young is a 1949 movie about a giant (huge, big) gorilla. Willis O'Brien won an Academy Award for the Special Effects in the movie. Robert Armstrong plays Max O'Hara in the movie. Armstrong plays Carl Denham in another giant gorilla movie called King Kong (1933). Joe was remade in 1998 starring Charlize Theron.
