Minority language

language spoken by a minority of the population of a territory

A minority language is a language spoken by a minority of the population. There are 196 sovereign states and about 5,000 to 7,000 languages.[1] This makes most languages in every country are a minority language. Some minority languages are also official languages. This happens with Irish in Ireland.
