Mishik Kazaryan

Russian physicist of Armenian descent

Mishik Ayrazatovich Kazaryan (Russian: Мишик Айрозатович Казарян; 28 February 1948 – 7 April 2020) was an Armenian-born Russian physicist. His main area was in laser physics and optics.

He was a creator of the brightest repeatedly pulsed laser in the visible region of the spectrum. He was the winner of the USSR State Prize in the field of science and technology. He was also a member of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. He was born in Hrazdan, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union.

On 7 April 2020, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, Kazaryan died in Moscow. He was 72.[1]
