Muntingia

Muntingia is a genus of plants in the family Muntigiaceae. It has only one species, the Muntingia calabura.[2] It was named in honor of Abraham Munting. It is native to the Neotropics, from Mexico south to Bolivia and Argentina. It fully grows into a fruit.
