Nelson DeMille

American writer (1943–2024)

Nelson Richard DeMille (August 23, 1943 – September 17, 2024) was an American novelist. His novels were mainly action adventure and suspense. His best known novels were Plum Island, The Charm School, and The General's Daughter.

DeMille has also written under the pen names Jack Cannon, Kurt Ladner, Ellen Kay and Brad Matthews.

DeMille was born in New York City. He studied at Hofstra University. He was married to Sandy DeMille. They had three children.

DeMille died of esophageal cancer at a hospital in Mineola, New York on September 17, 2024, at the age of 81.[1]
