Nguyễn dynasty

The Nguyễn Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty, or family of rulers, in Annamese history.

History

The Nguyễn emperors ruled from 1802 to 1945. The capital of the Nguyễn dynasty was Huế.

Nearly 40 percent of all Vietnamese people have the family name Nguyễn, named after the dynasty.

His Majesty Bao-Dai made the pilgrimage to the Tombs of the ancestors of the Dynasty in Thanh-Hóa on the 17th day of the 10th month (November 4, 1932).
