Nikolai Cholodny

Ukrainian botanist (1882-1953)

Mykola Hryhorovych Kholodny (Ukrainian: Микола Григорович Холодний; 22 June 1882 – 4 May 1953) was a well-known scientist who worked in the 1930s at the University of Kyiv, Ukraine, in the USSR.[1]

He is famous for creating the Cholodny–Went model, which he and Frits Warmolt Went of the California Institute of Technology did on their own. Even though they both believed the same thing, they never actually met.[2]
