Kyiv or Kiev[a] (Ukrainian: Київ) is the capital and largest city of Ukraine. It is in north-central Ukraine on the Dnieper River. Almost three million people live there.

The city hosted the UEFA Euro 2012 final. Kyiv also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.
