P. Ramlee (born March 11, 1929; died May 29, 1973) was a famous Malaysian musician. He was born on March 22, 1929, in Penang, Malaysia. He was a talented actor, director, singer, composer, and producer. He was popular in the 1950s and 1960s for his contributions to Malaysian movies and music.
