Packy (elephant)

Packy (April 14, 1962 – February 9, 2017) was an Asian elephant at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon, United States. He was famous for having been the first elephant born in the Western Hemisphere in 44 years.[1]

Packy was euthanized after suffering from tuberculosis at the Oregon Zoo on February 9, 2017, at the age of 54.[2]
