Pathion

32-dimensional hypercomplex number

In mathematics, the pathion number system (represented using the symbol ) extends the complex numbers into 32 dimensions. The pathions also called the trigintaduonions () or 32-ions. American mathematician Robert P. C. de Marrais named the pathions after the 32 paths of wisdom mentioned in the Kabbalah book Sefer Yetzirah.[1]

The 64-dimensional chingons come after the pathions.
