Patrick Mazimhaka

Rwandan politician (1948-2018)

Patrick Kayumbu Mazimhaka (26 April 1948 – 25 January 2018) was a Rwandan politician. He was the former Deputy Chairperson of the African Union's African Commission. Mazimhaka was born in Rwanda. He was elected the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission in July 2003 held in Maputo, Mozambique, and held the office until 6 February 2008.[1] He was, until his election, the Senior Presidential Advisor to the President of Rwanda on the Great Lakes Region.[2]

Mazimhaka died in Delhi, India on 25 January 2018 at the age of 69.[3]
