Paul Peters
Paul Willem Jacques Peters (31 July 1942 – 13 November 2024) was a Dutch politician, professor and chief inspector of the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). He was a member of the Socialist Party. He served as a member of the Senate between 2007 and 2011.

Biography
changePeters studied veterinary medicine at the Utrecht University and fetal and pediatric pathology at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 1981, he received his PhD on a teratological subject (medicine). From 1995 to 1998, he worked at the European Commission in Luxembourg as an expert in rare diseases.[1]
At the 2007 Dutch Senate election he was elected to the Dutch Senate on behalf of the Socialist Party. He retired from the Senate on 7 June 2011.[2][3][4]
Peters died in Utrecht on 13 November 2024, at the age of 82 years old.[2][1]
