Philip of France, Dauphin of France (French: Philippe; 29 August 1116 — 13 October 1131) was the eldest son and child of King Louis VI of France and his second wife, Adélaide de Maurienne. As a son of the king, Philip was a fils de France. As heir apparent, he became the Dauphin of France immediately after his birth. Philip was riding his horse when a black boar ran into the horse, making Philip fall off the horse and broke his collarbone and suffered a fractured skull and died on 13 October predeceasing his father. He is buried in Saint Denis Basilica.
