Phillip Bennett
Senior Australian Army officer and Governor of Tasmania (1928–2023)
General Sir Phillip Harvey Bennett (27 December 1928 – 1 August 2023[1]) was an Australian politician. He is a retired senior officer of the Australian Army. He served as Chief of the Australian Defence Force from 1984 to 1987, and later as Governor of Tasmania from 1987 to 1995.
