Pierogi

unleavened stuffed bun of Central and Eastern European origin

Pierogi are a type of dumpling from Eastern Europe. Pierogi are made by wrapping unleavened dough (dough without yeast) around a savoury or sweet filling and cooking in boiling water. They are often then pan-fried before serving. They are often filled with potato, quark, sauerkraut, ground meat, mushrooms, or fruits.[1][2][3]
