Pratyusha Banerjee (10 August 1991 – 1 April 2016) was an Indian movie and television actress. She started her career with Balika Vadhu as Anandi. She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 7. She had signed as a host with reality-based crime saga Savdhaan India for the special segment on "women against crime". She had worked in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya in 2014 and was last seen in Hum Hain Na.[1]

Banerjee committed suicide by hanging herself on April 1, 2016. She was declared dead at Kokilben Ambani hospital in Mumbai after doctors failed to revive her.[2] She was aged 24.
Death
changeOn 1 April 2016, Banerjee was found hanging in her Mumbai apartment, and according to the postmortem report the cause of death was asphyxia.
