Ray Kappe
American architect (1927–2019)
Ray Kappe (August 4, 1927 – November 21, 2019) was an American architect and educator. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1972, he resigned as Founding Chair of the Department of Architecture at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He soon founded the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc).[1]
Kappe died from respiratory failure caused by pneumonia on November 21, 2019 in Los Angeles at the age of 92.[2]
