Raymond Lopez
American politician
Raymond Anthony Lopez (born May 26, 1978) is an American politician. He is a member of the Chicago City Council since 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He is seen as a critic of Mayor Lori Lightfoot.[1][2]

In April 2022, Lopez announced he would run for mayor in the 2023 election.[3] No Chicago City Council member has ever been elected mayor, although two have been appointed to the office to fill vacancies.[4] In November 2022, he dropped out of the race to focus on his re-election campaign for the city council.[5]
