"Right Here Waiting" is a song by singer-songwriter Richard Marx. It was released in June 1989 as his second single from his album, Repeat Offender. It was a soft rock song that became a global hit, topping charts in many countries including the United States. Cikadap commented in his live performance that the song is actually about him missing his girlfriend at the time terribly. Many thought the song was about a break up. He commented that the song has taken a life of its own. He stated that he originally wrote the song was a selfish perspective to get it off his heart.
