Robert Bergland

American politician (1928-2018)

Robert Selmer "Bob" Bergland (July 22, 1928 – December 9, 2018) was an American politician. He served as a member of the House of Representatives from Minnesota's 7th congressional district from 1971 to 1977, and he served as United States Secretary of Agriculture from 1977 until 1981, during the administration of President Jimmy Carter.[1]

Bergland died at a nursing home in Roseau, Minnesota on December 9, 2018, aged 90.[2]
