Robert Bruce Smith IV

American historian and writer (1945–2014)

Robert Bruce Smith IV (June 14, 1945 – August 13, 2014) was an American music and history expert and writer. During 2004, Smith published a book, Madness and the Mississippi Bonds, about the famous Mississippi bond scandal.[1]

For several years, he led a walking tour of historic William Faulkner sites during Ripley, Mississippi's annual Faulkner Festival. Smith was born in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Smith died in a car accident on August 13, 2014 in Saltillo, Mississippi at the age of 69.[2]
