Ronald R. Van Stockum
brigadier general in the US marine Corps
Ronald Reginald Van Stockum (July 8, 1916 – April 24, 2022) was a United States Marine Corps brigadier general. He took part in Bougainville, Guam and Iwo Jima campaigns. He was director, Marine Corps Reserve and later as commanding general, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific (Forward) on Okinawa during the Vietnam War.[1]

Van Stockum turned 100 in July 2016. He died in Shelby County, Kentucky on April 24, 2022, at the age of 105.[2]
