Salé (Arabic: سلا, romanized: salā, [salaː]; Berber languages: ⵙⵍⴰ, romanized: sla) is a city in northwestern Morocco, on the right of the Bou Regreg river. It was founded in about 1030 by the Banu Ifran,[3]

  1. The High Commission for Planning defines the city of Salé as comprising the five arrondissements of Bab Lamrissa, Bettana, Hssaine, Layayda and Tabriquet.[2]
