The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a school shooting which happened in Connecticut, United States on Friday, December 14, 2012. Twenty-eight people were killed in the shooting, including many children and teachers.[1]

The shooter was Adam Peter Lanza. He shot and killed his mother, before going to the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. He shot twenty children and six adult staff members. Lanza committed suicide (killed himself).[2]
