Dutta's interest in fashion and her desire to promote Assamese culture led her to start a weaving unit in Guwahati in January 2012. Subsequently, she resigned from her job in the engineering field to focus on her career as a fashion designer. She established her own fashion label, Sanjukta Studio, which is known for its fusion of Assamese traditional weaves with modern fashion trends[2]
