Sapar Isakov

Kyrgyz politician

Sapar Jumakadyrovich Isakov (Kyrgyz: Сапар Жумакадырович (Жумакадыр уулу) Исаков, Sapar Jumaqadıroviç (Jumaqadır uulu) İsaqov; born July 29, 1977)[1] is a Kyrgyz politician. He was Prime Minister from 26 August 2017 to 19 April 2018.[2] He was chief of staff for President Almazbek Atambayev.[3]

On 19 April 2018 the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov fired Isakov and the government following a vote of no confidence.[4]

Isakov was arrested June 5, 2018 for corruption charges.[5][6]

In August 2019, Isakov was hospitalized due to a stroke.[7]
