Shen Chun-shan

Taiwanese physicist (1932-2018)

Shen Chun-shan (29 August 1932 – 12 September 2018) was a Taiwanese academic. He was known for being President of National Tsing Hua University from 1994 to 1997.[1][2]

He was known as one of the "four princes of Taiwan" along with Chen Li-an, Fredrick Chien, and Lien Chan, all of whose fathers became famous in politics before their sons' successes.[3]

In 2012, Shen suffered a massive stroke and was left in a coma.[4] He died six years later on 12 September 2018 at a Hsinchu hospital from an gastrointestinal hemorrhage, aged 86.[5]
