Sidney Lumet

American director, producer and screenwriter (1924–2011)

Sidney Lumet (June 25, 1924 – April 9, 2011)[1] was an American movie director, producer and screenwriter. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He directed more than 200 plays for live television. He also directed more than 40 movies.[2] His movies include Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, 12 Angry Men, Network, Prince of the City and Q&A. He died of lymphoma[3] in New York City.
