Singapore Telecommunications Limited commonly abbreviated as SingTel, is a telecommunications company. SingTel has a combined mobile subscriber base of 285 million customers as of December 2009. This inclues its own operations and regional associates of SingTel.[1] SingTel is an Internet service provider and provides internet television They provide landline telephone (traditional wired telephone) and mobile phone services. SingTel has expanded outside its home market with many regional operators, including Australia and India.

SingTel is the largest company by market capitalisation listed on the Singapore Exchange. The majority of the company is owned by Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the Singapore government. SingTel Digital Media Pte Ltd (STDM) which owns content portal, insing.com, is a wholly owned subsidiary of SingTel. SingTel has 37 offices in 19 countries located throughout Asia Pacific, Europe and the US.
In June 2008, SingTel was the title sponsor of the first Formula One night race in Singapore. They have continued sponsoring the race through 2010.
