Slovenian Democratic Party

The Slovenian Democratic Party (Slovene: Slovenska demokratska stranka, SDS), formerly the Social Democratic Party of Slovenia (Slovene: Socialdemokratska stranka Slovenije, SDSS),[1][2] is a conservative[3] political party in Slovenia.
It has been described as nationalist[4] and right-wing populist,[5] encompassing both national[6] and social conservatism.[7] Led by former Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša, the SDS is a member of the European People's Party (EPP), Centrist Democrat International[8] and International Democrat Union.[9]
