South Africans are a ethnic group and nation native to South Africa. The majority of the White South African population is Afrikaans, with the remainder of them being of British or European descent. The Coloured population have a mixed lineage. They descend from the indigenous Khoisan people and White settlers. Most of the Coloured population live in the Northern and Western Cape Provinces in South Africa, while the majority of the Indian population live in KwaZulu-Natal. The Afrikaner population is concentrated in the Gauteng and Free State Provinces.[1]
