1799 or 1800 change
A small point, but I think you'll find the Althing last met in 1799, but was abolished by the King of Denmark in 1800. In any event, it had long been a High Court, rather than a Parliament. One of the difficulties young people have is to understand that words like 'Parliament' did not mean then what they mean today. Unfortunately, the English wiki page lacks adequate references to settle some of these issues. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:23, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
