GA nomination and other Selena articles on En

change

Parts of this article may be an import from En without attribution. It looks like at least one chunk of it came form another Selena article. The copy may be by the same editor on the other wiki before being blocked.

See this passage from the nommed article:

  • "While Selena was performing at the 1989 Tejano Music Awards, Jose Behar (who was the former head of Sony Music Latin) was among the audience that night."

and this from another Selena article on En [1]

  • "Selena was performing at the 1989 Tejano Music Awards and among the attendees were Jose Behar, the former head of Sony Music Latin who had recently begun the Latin division of EMI Records, and the new head of Sony Music Latin, a sub-division of Sony Music Entertainment."

from nommed

  • "Behar called his boss stating that he believe he had found the nextGloria Estefan.[7][8] His boss told him that he was crazy, because Behar only had been in South Texas for only a week.[7]"

and this from the same article [2]

  • "Behar called his boss stating that he believed he found what he was looking for; to which his boss replied that he was crazy as he had only been in South Texas for less than a week.[2][3]"

Not ready for GA, but actually needs a careful check for attribution etc. Large chunks taken from En as-is and not simplified. Gotanda (talk) 15:29, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well they weren't copied and paste, I'm very knowledgeable about this topic that's why it may seem that way. But I will simplify anything that is brought up. Thanks, AJona1992 (talk) 16:18, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
