Emperor Kameyama had more than one name during his lifetime, including:
  • Zenrinji-dono (禅林寺殿) — literally "Lord Zen-Temple" because he had a Zen temple in the north wing of his Imperial Villa
  • Madenokō-ji-dono (万里小路殿) — because of the name of his residence
  • Bun'ō Kōtei (文応公邸) — because of the era name + kōtei, which is another word for emperor
