Fact check change

During the French and Indian War, he captured a French fort but soon left because he
was afraid that the french would attack.

which fort is this? the only reference I can locate to french fort (or any fort prior to Necessity for that matter) is Fort Le Boeuf which was not captured by Washington. (he didnt even attack it, he was there on a diplomatic mission as a messenger at the time)

I am also wondering if Fort Necessity is even notable in the scope of this article for Simple? -- Creol 22:52, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ratify? change

"Ratify" is not a simple word. Any suggestions for changing it? Graymornings 03:31, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image change

May I put this image Image:Example.jpg?--85.117.43.111 (talk) 18:41, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

excuse, this Image:Washington (3).jpg--85.117.43.111 (talk) 18:47, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I tried it on preview, and in my opinion, his head is too small in the president infobox. Most of the images are head and shoulders shots for this reason. Millard Fillmore is an exception, but his head is double the size of Image:Washington (3).jpg and so is more recognizable in the thumbnail version.
That said, it's just my opinion, and it's not a strong one in this case, so if you feel differently, you may change it. TransUtopian (talk) 19:44, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think image put in article below not in the president infobox--85.117.43.111 (talk) 06:22, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure, that's fine. The w:Lansdowne portrait was painted in 1796, and so could go next to the Presidency section. I suggest making the Washington farmer thumbnail below it smaller. TransUtopian (talk) 18:44, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's fine what I did?--85.117.43.111 (talk) 19:56, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes! I added a redlink to Lansdowne portrait in the caption, in case someone wants to make an article here about the picture. TransUtopian (talk) 20:07, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
