changeWelcome to Wikipedia. Your recent change appears to have added wrong information and has been removed. If you think the information that you added was correct, please provide a source for the change or discuss it on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any tests that you wish to make. Thank you. Please stop creating disambiguation to the English Wikipedia. Simple English Wikipedia is a separate wiki. Rus793 (talk) 21:40, 11 February 2015 (UTC)

change- Germ: First of all, we don't have "see also" on this wiki. We have related pages, and they have to be properly related, which "German" is not. Macdonald-ross (talk) 18:19, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
UOIT
changeI requested Quick Deletion of UOIT since it is a just a redirect to English Wikipedia. Please take the time to make helpful edits and stop creating redirects and things that are not needed. Gotanda (talk) 06:09, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Speed limits and Wikispeedia
changeI'm not sure why these pages needed to be merged: they're about different things. In any case, merging the website info into the speed limit article doesn't mean the latter is now about a wiki, so I removed the "Wikis" category. I also did some other cleanup from the merge. Let me know if you have any questions. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:17, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
Quick deletion of Windows 10 Mobile
changeThe page you wrote, Windows 10 Mobile, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. User:Rus793 (talk) 16:57, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
Afghanistan RfD
changeYour nomination for Afghanistan for deletion did not go through. It did not create a discussion page at RfD. Possibly it was due to an attempted deletion before it completed the connection or it was a glitch in the software. Secondly, your reason given seems to point to a redirect page, not the main article. Could you take another look at the RfD tag on the page? Thanks. Rus793 (talk) 13:49, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Rus793: I used Twinkle to add the AFD as there was no option for RFD. << S O M E G A D G E T G E E K >> (talk) 17:15, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi GG. Check your installation of Twinkle. There is no AFD option here as that's an Enwiki designation. In my copy of Twinkle the options of RfD and QD are right there in the drop-down menu. You can also use the QD templates directly. I'm not sure what you were going for here but they are listed in Wikipedia:Deletion policy. I'd check with someone knowledgeable in Twinkle if your copy isn't working correctly. Afghanistan is on my watchlist which is why I saw the RfD problem. Is there anything I can do to help with what you wanted to do with this article? Rus793 (talk) 18:04, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Rus793: Whoops...I mislooked. The reason why Afghanistan was tagged for deletion was probably because the immediate target of the RfD (Time in Afghanistan) was a redirect page to Afghanistan, and Twinkle on the simplewiki was not designed to handle this as I don't think we have a specific location for "redirects for discussion", as they call it on enwiki (this explains my mess-up above - enwiki's version of simplewiki's RfD page is called AfD, as you're probably already aware). I wonder if we can contact the developers of Twinkle to fix this bug. Better still, we could create our own page for the purpose of handling redirects only rather than articles. << S O M E G A D G E T G E E K >> (talk) 23:58, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

The comment you added to the "complex" tag you stuck on Cantor's diagonal argument seems a bit ironic. You stated, "The article needs more making-it-easy-to-understand or it doesn't need to be here" -- I had to read that three times to figure out what you were saying. Sometimes, when we attempt to make-it-easy-to-understand, er, simplify, we actually do the opposite. Etamni | ✉ | ✓ 06:03, 5 September 2016 (UTC)
MRT articles
changeHello! I know you were concerned about the Singapore MRT/LRT articles. Just wanted to let you know I worked through the users edits and simplified the articles that weren't already improved. Thanks for the reminder about this group of articles needing attention! --Tbennert (talk) 06:03, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
Rollback
changeI have given you rollback rights on the Simple English Wikipedia. Rollback must never be used to revert in edit wars, or to remove good-faith changes. Use the undo feature for this, and give a reason. Rollback does not let you give a reason when reverting. It must only be used to revert bad changes. It can and will be revoked if misused. Thanks for your help in removing vandalism, and I hope this extra tool makes it easier.--Peterdownunder (talk) 21:11, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
Thanksgiving
changeHi, SGG. I undid your changes where you merged the article about the US holiday to the general article. That change made the general article slanted toward the US holiday, whereas the Canadian one is separate, with separate origins. It's good to keep a more global point of view with things like this. If you really think the articles should be merged, please discuss it first. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:36, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
December 2016
changeHello, Some Gadget Geek. When you revert a user's changes, like you did earlier, don't forget to leave the user a message on their talk page. You may find Template:User talk page warnings/table useful when doing this, to let them know that the change was considered inappropriate, and to direct them to the sandbox. Thank you. You also need to issue an appropriate warning when you make a QD request on a new page. You can add warnings from a menu if you go to My settings>Gadgets and click on Twinkle (if you haven't already). This adds a drop-down menu that includes warnings and notices. Rus793 (talk) 15:41, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Rus793, I thank you for your kind reminder. If you look at my changes, I am already using TWINKLE to deal with QD's. When doing so, I have also checked the box "Notify page creator if possible" at the top. This automatically posts {{QD-notice}} to the user's talk page, which says "the page you wrote has been selected for quick deletion". I was assuming that was sufficient until an admin actually deletes the page. I don't think Twinkle has the option to automatically warn the user with templates like {{uw-create1}} as part of the page tagging process ... yet, though it could be useful. << S O M E G A D G E T G E E K >> (talk) 20:42, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hi SGG. That does send an automatic notification, but it does not give a warning or notification. In the case of vandals, we have to give progressive warnings levels 1 through 4 before we can report Vandalism in progress. Otherwise an admin will tell you they have not been sufficiently warned. Often admins do catch repeat vandals but not always. Depending on severity you can give a warning level 1 or 2 the first time. The policy has been to start over with warning levels if the vandalism repeats more than a month or so later. Having installed Twinkle, you should see a "TW" menu when you are on a talk page. Use the "Warn" menu item to get the Warn/Notify dialog box. The User talk page warnings link in the lower right also shows a list of warnings so you can get an idea of what is the appropriate warning. A little practice and you'll get the hang of it. Ask one of the admins or patrollers if you aren't sure which level or warning to use in what situation. I'm sure you'll figure it out quickly enough though. Rus793 (talk) 22:05, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- When warning, simply and calmly move through the levels, most will stop, but after four, then report to VIP. I try to do this too, even if the vandalism is "serious". Exceptions may be in cases where oversight is needed to remove personal information, or libellous comments, or harassment. Still go through the warning steps, but send an email to a member of the oversight team to get it dealt with quickly. I try not to get too excited about vandalism, and keep my energy for article improvement.--Peterdownunder (talk) 12:42, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi, SGG. I noticed you didn't leave warnings today when you reverted the vandalism by IP user 155.205.208.222. Please do leave a warning for the reverts that you do. When warnings aren't given, it takes longer to stop vandalism if the user continues vandalizing. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:58, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Note that this is at least the fourth reminder to warn vandals. Only (talk) 16:44, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
Patroller
changeThis right has been granted per your request. Pages you mark as patrolled will not be automatically checked by other experienced editors, so if in doubt about any page, you can leave it unpatrolled, or you can always ask for another opinion. Pages do not have to be perfect, but any major errors need to be fixed if possible, or warning tags added.--Peterdownunder (talk) 12:33, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
Your qd request for Alignment (Dungeons & Dragons)
changeHi, SGG. I declined this qd because the qd option for notability does not apply to concepts. (The article was not about the game itself, but about a concept in the game.) I redirected the page to the game article because the text was too complex.
I also saw your note on this request: "This is not the Dungeons and Dragons Wiki - this topic is too specific for Wikipedia which covers general topics, not things about games we don't even know how to play." That is not the case. English Wikipedia has this article, and it would be fine for us to have it, too, if the language were simple. There is no limit to how specific an article can be, as long as the language is simple enough. It's OK if individual editors want to create articles with only general information, but more detailed ones are good, too. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:11, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
50.116.4.236 warning changed
changeFor what particular reason was the warning changed? In addition, cyber bullying was mentioned. Angela Maureen (talk) 16:49, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- The change was cyberbullying - it meets all the conditions described here and because of this a harsh warning is appropriate. << S O M E G A D G E T G E E K >> (talk) 16:52, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) However, if you replace a warning with a different one, you should put your signature on the new warning. Angela did not leave the warning that is there now, so her signature should not be on it. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:03, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
Crackdown dab page
changeHi, SGG. I declined your qd request on this for two reasons. First, the reason given was not one of our quick delete options. Except in very rare cases, pages must exactly meet one of the official qd options to be quickly deleted.
Second, it is valid to have a dab page with all red links. (It's not ideal, but it's valid.) Articles could be linking to that page name even if none of the articles exist. Having the dab page lets us disambiguate those ambiguous links, even if the links are still red afterward. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:56, 31 December 2016 (UTC)
Hi, SGG. I declined the qd on this because it appears to be a process, and processes are not covered by the qd option for notability. Let me know if I'm wrong about it being a process. Feel free to take the page to RfD. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:54, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Use talk page warnings
changePlease use the appropriate wp:user talk page warnings when you rollback, especially if the used had vandalised. The system of warnings needs this action to be valid. This is the third message to you on this topic. Macdonald-ross (talk) 16:44, 10 February 2017 (UTC)
Quick deletion of User:192.197.54.51
changeThe page you wrote, User:192.197.54.51, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. — Jeff G. ツ 19:07, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

changeHi, SGG. I saw your note with the QD request for Ruthie Quinto. You might not have understood the guideline correctly. It's allowed to write about yourself, but it's discouraged because of the COI issues. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:24, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Your response to User talk:Shawn1033's unblock request
changeBecause you are not an admin, you cannot tell a blocked user that we're going to give them another chance, nor tell them that a certain action will lead to being unblocked ("First, though, you have to show us that you deserve another chance."). It is for the admins to determine all of that. Please don't do that again. You can make suggestions, but don't make it sound like an unblock would be definite. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:27, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

changeYour most recent edit to VIP states "Next time, please do not report here if the bot has already posted". You're wrong. The bot reported after the user.

Don't feed the trolls
changeRemember to think about WP:DENY. I don't know why you initially restored my reverting of the IP address. They're clearly trolling by asking how to make a bot to blank pages. No need to feed into that. Only (talk) 16:43, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
- Again, your new edit notice totally goes against the idea of not feeding the trolls. Only (talk) 23:50, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, Only. I was about to tell SGG the same thing. The more we react to those objectionable posts, the more they will be left. SGG, please take that text off of your talk page edit notice. People not involved in the issues with those vandals don't want to see it. Even some of us who were involved don't want to see it. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:23, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Done and tagged for deletion. It was only meant to be a test to see how edit notices work here on Wikipedia. ««« SOME GADGET GEEK »»» (talk) 01:39, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks. There's nothing wrong with an edit notice that says "Don't vandalize this talk page," but you don't need to quote the vandalism or refer to specific vandals. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:59, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
Note
changeYou didn't have to revert this edit on my talk page. When it comes to other users' talk pages, it's sometimes best to revert only if the edit is actually offensive. This one was not offensive. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:19, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
- You did this again, on User talk:Eurodyne. The fact that the user was blocked is not a reason to revert the edit. The edit you undid wasn't offensive or problematic in any way. If you continue doing inappropriate edits, you might be blocked or be given a topic ban. I strongly recommend that you don't revert any talk page edits, except on your own talk page. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:23, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- It's a sockpuppet, Auntof6. It is perfectly okay to revert their edits if they are not constructive. --Bsadowski1 00:57, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Bsadowski1: It wasn't an unconstructive edit. It was a simple question to Eurodyne. --Auntof6 (talk) 01:37, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- It's a sockpuppet, Auntof6. It is perfectly okay to revert their edits if they are not constructive. --Bsadowski1 00:57, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Your recent qd request
changeUnless you have officially verified that two users are the same person, or have been told that such verification has been done, please do not accuse a user of being a sockpuppet, no matter how similar their edits are. Besides that, being created by a sockpuppet is not a valid reason to ask for qd on a page. Not only is it not one of the designated qd reasons, but we don't automatically delete pages just because a sock or indeffed user created them. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:07, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi, SGG. Just to let you know, I undid your move of this page. You are correct that it isn't capitalized correctly, but when you move a page that is at RfD, you mess up the links on the discussion page.
