Review
changeHey there! This article is quite well-written overall, but I had a few comments to make. :) I hope they aren't too much!
- The IOC is also responsible for choising what sports are in the games. <- "choising"? Perhaps you meant "choosing".
- Olympia, Greece has to be created.
- The origin of these Olympics is shrouded in mystery and legend. <- perhaps you can link legend? Also, "shrouded" seems rather unsimple (even if it does seem to be in the list of Basic English words).
- Link javelin throws, please.
- Panagiotis Soutsos must be created.
- Panathenaic stadium has to be made a blue link.
- "These games were unfair in nature since only Men could compete" <- I don't understand this. Isn't the Olympic Games only supposed to be for "Men"? So why is it unfair? And why is the "M" capital? Explanation, please. :)
- British Olympic Association is a red link.
- International Olympic Charter is a red link as well.
- Wenlock Olympian Games - ditto.
- Crystal Palace, please create.
- Panathinaiko Stadium, as well.
- Sorbonne is a red link, too...
- And so is Demetrius Vikelas.
- And Konstantinos Zappas.
- And George Averoff
- "Refurbishment" seems to be much to complex for my taste - can you replace it with a simpler word?
- "The Greek officials and public were excited about hosting these Games" <- this needs a reference.
- Olympiad - red link.
- 1921 Olympic Congress - as above.
- Jacques Rogge - create, please.
- International Federations - create.
- Sport governing body needs to be made too.
- FIVB is a red link.
- United States Olympic Committee is a red link.
- Winter Olympic bid scandal is a red link.
- "resignation" should be linked to wiktionary or simplified, as it seems complex to me.
- Bertrand Delanoë is a red link.
- British Prime Minister is a red link.
- Bids for the 2006 Winter Olympics is a red link.
- "shrouded in controversy" might be unsimple for our readers.
- Marc Holder is a red link also.
- There is no such article as Olympic symbols.
- Olympic rings is a red link.
- Olympic motto is a red link.
- Olympic mascot is a red link.
- Olympic games ceremony is a red link.
- A lot of references are invalid, and should be fixed.
Well, there are much more red links and hard words, but I unfortunately don't have time to write more comments. I hope these are addressed soon! Love, Bella tête-à-tête 09:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Removed main page links which do not exist
changeI've removed all of the main page links which do not have a valid link. There is no need to link to non-existent articles.
Also I think that there are far too many red links for this article.

WHY QD?
changeWhy? Seriously? This is notable and shows no signs of vandalism. Elytrian - Talk 06:16, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry @Elytrian:, it was a bad manipulation. —Eihel (talk) 08:20, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
