there is material science. then there are other sciences, like sciences of the mind: psychology. the finest science of all is the spiritual science of the self-bhagavad-gita. — This unsigned comment was added by 203.129.146.113 (talk • changes).

You are wrong there. It is a basic assumption of science that there is nothing supernatural, and therefore the difference between body and mind is not a scientific one. Psychology is a science of mind, true enough, but mind originates from matter, therefore it is also a material science. Bhagavad-Gita is a system of belief - whether it may contain truth or not, as long as it does not justify its content by scientific method, it is no science --82.140.56.160 (talk) 12:19, 14 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Complex tag change

It is now my mission in life to have all the complex tags on science-related articles removed! In this article I edited the introductory paragraph. Please point out any further areas you would consider complex. Or tell me if the first paragraph is still too complex :) If no one replies, later on (muuuch later) I'm going to start some sort of motion to have the tag removed from this page. Zoology change

Many people regard "systematics" as a subdivision of Biology. The current list is biased. The list includes botany without also including zoology. In general, the characterization and study of all species (plant, animal, fungi...) should be included as a subdivision of biology. Perhaps someone should reconsider the list (which probably came from a WMF word list.) Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 21:05, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Scientific method change

I've rewritten this section so it has some similarity with our more detailed page, Scientific method. It was quite wrong to say scientific method is a trial and error method. Macdonald-ross (talk) 17:29, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
