Tan is a color that is a pale tone of brown or green tone of orange.
The first written use of tan as a color name in English was in the year 1590.[1]
The name comes from tannum, (oak bark) used in the tanning of leather.[2]
Meaning of tan change
- Tan is the color of the United States Army Rangers beret as well as Canada's CSOR Canadian Special Operations Regiment and JTF2 Joint Task Force 2[3]
- When a person sunbathes to make his or her skin darker that happens due to more melanin production, he or she is said to be getting a tan.
