This is a documentation subpage for Template:Blocked text.

This template is used in block-related system messages, including MediaWiki:Blockedtext and MediaWiki:Autoblockedtext.
Changes to it can cause immediate changes to the Wikipedia user interface.
To avoid major disruption, any changes should be tested in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. The tested changes can be added to this page in a single edit. Please discuss changes on the talk page before changing this template.

Usage

This template is used in system messages to inform a user upon edit that they are blocked.

Most people who see this message have done nothing wrong. Certain restrictions disable editing from specific locations in response to recent abuse, and affect other users who are unrelated to that abuse. See below if you do not believe you have done anything wrong.
