{{Cite Legislation AU/doc}} produces links to a variety of different legislation resources located on the AustLII site. Formatting is designed to be in compliance with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation.

AustLII has consolidated acts and regulations for every Australian jurisdiction. For some jurisdictions other materials are available. The following table lists the sources available for each jurisdiction (years indicated are the earliest years available for that source).

Cth ACT NSW NT Qld SA Tas Vic WA
Acts
Regulations
Bills 1995 2002 1999 1998 1999 2002 1999 1998
Explanatory memoranda 1996 2002 1999 2005 1999 2001 1999
Repealed acts
Repealed regulations

Most sources use similar parameters.

In all cases jurisdiction will be one of Cth (for federal legislation) or ACT, NSW, NT, Qld, SA, Tas, Vic or WA (for state and territory legislation).

The necessary value for the short-name parameter can be obtained from the AustLII URL (it consists of the initials of the short title, the year, and the number of the item in that year, so if you know this information you can compose the short name that way). As an example, for the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth), for which the URL is http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/ca1968133/ the short name is "ca1968133".
