Usage
Template:ISO 639 name av is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code av, for example: {{Translated page |av |name of page at Avaric Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Avaric Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Avaric Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |av}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|av| some text in Avaric}} wraps the text with <span lang="av"> and could be used by the template {{Lang}} with language code av to include articles in Category:Articles containing Avaric-language text (may be created using {{Category articles containing non-English-language text |Avaric |av}}). Also available is {{Lang-av |some text in Avaric}} which displays as Avar: some text in Avaric.
- {{R from other language|av|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Avaric-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|av}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Avaric-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
