The Young Guard (Russian: Молодая гвардия, translit. Molodaya Gvardiya) is a 1948 Russian World War II drama movie directed by Sergei Gerasimov and was based on the novel of the same name by Alexander Fadeyev. It stars Vladimir Ivanov, Inna Makarova, Nonna Mordyukova, Sergei Gurzo, Lyudmila Shagalova, Aleksandr Antonov.
